Coronation Cup
The Presidents Coronation Cup was presented by Myles Kennedy to mark the Coronation of King Edward VII in 1902. From the outset the Coronation Cup was competed for under the rules of medal play and from 1902 to 1919 the competition was held twice yearly during Spring and Autumn. Competitors participating in the Coronation Cup were able to win the trophy outright by the virtue of three success wins or a total of five wins. In 1950 Council decided that the trophy could no longer be won outright.
