CENTENARY EVENTS 18th - 25th JULY 2010

NEWSFLASH

Our Centenary celebrations have unfortunately been blighted by the weather. The  AM AM which was due to be played on 18th July has had to be rescheduled to take place on Sunday 15th August and the Seniors Open originally being played on 19th July has been rescheduled for Monday 9th August. If you wish to enter into either of these events or confirm your wish to re enter on the new dates please contact Helen and Ruth at our club office.

From the 18th to the 25th July this year we are celebrating one hundred years of golf being played at BARDSEA PARK. With a wide variety of daily competitions and social events on certain evenings we are planning to ensure that visitors and members thoroughly enjoy themselves. We know that the course will be in excellent condition following a dedicated winter work programme by Mike Etchells and his staff. You'll be assured of a warm welcome from Helen and Ruth in our office who will help you with tee bookings and accommodation requirements. Paul our Professional will cater for your every golfing need including items with unique logos for the occasion. Les & Chris will display their culinary talents with a wide variety of dishes and local specialities on offer from dawn to dusk. Denys and his team will as usual offer a well stocked bar and present the world premiere of an exclusive locally brewed "Monument Cask Ale". National and local charities will benefit from the proceeds of the week. please come and enjoy the renovations and improvements we have recently embarked upon in the clubhouse and on the course.

Programme of Events: Entries for all competitions to be done through office. When you are considering which competitions to enter why not also think about staying at one of our listed accommodations, as below, and join us at the clubhouse for one of the social events or just enjoy a meal.

Sunday 18th July:   NOW SUNDAY 15th AUGUST
Golf Event:      Captains Charities AM/AM Type format (4/ team - any combination). 
Social Event:   Presentation, Auction and  Drinks Party. 

Monday 19th July:  NOW MONDAY 9th AUGUST
Golf Events:    Men's 4BBB Seniors Open 55+. 
                     

Tuesday 20th July:
Golf Events:    Ladies Waltz Open (Team of 4).  
                     

Wednesday 21st July:
Golf Events:     Texas Summer Scramble Open
                      (Team of 4 - Any Combination)
                       

Thursday 22nd July: 
Golf Events:    Mens 4BBB Stableford Open
                      

Friday 23rd July:
Golf Events:  Juniors Centenary Medal (Members Only).                         Shotgun Team Event Any Combination (Members Only) from 4pm.                 Social Event:  Food and Family  Evening.    

Saturday 24th July: 
Golf Events:    Men's Centenary Medal (Members Only).
                      Ladies Centenary Medal (Members Only)
Social Event:   Centenary Medals Presentation   

Sunday 25th July:  
Golf Event:      Harold Dearden Mixed Open.
Social Event:   Presentation and Closing Ceremony Drinks Party.
