Hole Scafell
Yards 488 475 438
Par 5 5 5
SI 14 14 10
The long par five offers wonderful views of Ulverston nestling below the fells and the mountains at the rear. A grass bunker on the right, waiting to receive any short ball, threatens the drive. For the longer drive an avenue of trees can catch the wayward shot. A good long drive can often be rewarded with an opportunity to putt for birdie, or even eagle but strategically placed bunkers often cause trouble.

Hole Spinney
Yards 351 339 322
Par 4 4 4
SI 6 6 6
This short par four is a gentle dogleg right leading to a green protected on both sides by bunkers. An accurate tee shot will avoid right and left fairway bunkers. The green can be tricky dependent upon the pin placement.

Hole Birkrigg
Yards 484 480 424
Par 5 5 5
SI 16 16 16
The last par five has a tight fairway tree lined on the left down to the green. The main dangers are bunkers waiting to catch your second shot. Once clear of them a par or better is always possible provided the greenside bunkers are avoided.

Hole White Ghyll
Yards 188 179 166
Par 3 3 3
SI 8 8 14
The last par three, (seen from the green looking back to the tee), is the longest and arguably the most difficult. Anything short and left can leave you with a very difficult chip over a bunker with the green always falling away. OB awaits the wayward slice on the right. The pin is often tucked away to the right and protected by two deep faced bunkers.

Hole Monument
Yards 390 382 359
Par 4 4 4
SI 2 2 2
This dogleg right marks the beginning of a difficult set of homeward bound holes just waiting to catch the tiring golfer. At stroke index two this par four is often best played with a slight fade over the marker whilst low handicappers draw their shots close to the trees on the left. The pin if set at the back right of the green is protected by a bunker. This is probably the most difficult green on the course when it comes to reading the putts.
